Our Story:

We… Cathy (Bunny) and I moved to Colorado in March 1992. A Pick-Up pulling a trailer of lawn equipment and about $ 700.00 & thus, JP Total was born. In 1993, we acquired the spot we are at to this day, which is home to The Pumpkin Patch, Christmas Tree Lot, and our Farmers Market. It is also our office for JP Total Lawn & Landscape. The Pumpkin Patch came to be in October 1993, and our Farmers Market was born the same year with Colorado apples, corn, tomatoes & squash.

We operated a farm stand at the old Dicks Hickory Dock in Kittredge and did a few farm stands at The Evergreen Lake in 1993. During our time here, hundreds of customers kept asking us to do a full-out, every-day Farmers Market at The Pumpkin Patch/Christmas Tree location. A full-season Market. We answered the call to arms, and JP Total Farmers Market came to be 16 years ago… Like all we do, it quickly became the place where everyone came to get their wonderful fresh produce and, of course, their Palisade peaches. They come to this day by the thousands to get their produce and pumpkins. They come starting around Thanksgiving until a few days before Christmas to get their Christmas tree and trimmings. Our quality in all we do, and the seasonal atmosphere we create, IS GENERATIONAL.

On any given day, our store will have 3 generations here at a time. Mom & Dad, their kids, now in their 20s, and their grandkids. We need to look no further for a testament of our hard work and love for what we do, and the endless striving for quality and an atmosphere that will burn memories in all who come & they will all be back to The Pumpkin Patch & The Christmas Tree Lot year after year. As I write this on Tuesday, August 5th, 2025, for our website, a young brother & sister have just come into our market~ 2 Topo Chico’s and 2 peaches & asking if they can leave their bikes here for a while… They showed me pictures of them as babies at The Pumpkin Patch.
